Already infected with the Darkness, Uldren sought out the Light in the European Dead Zone and recovered a Shard of the Traveler after being influenced by the voice of Mara, but narrowly escaped an assassination attempt by Petra Venj. Mara then noted that some of the lost Techeuns were like sisters to Petra, which her Wrath confirmed, and Mara comforted her with the knowledge that she could still feel their minds the Ascendant Plane and that they would return to her just as Mara had.
