Description: On the above date at approximately 1400 hours deputies from the Rutland County Sheriffs Department were dispatched to a report of a motorcycle who went off the roadway into the woods, subsequent investigation revealed that the operator of the motorcycle was traveling westbound on Route 140, the operator was traveling next to another motorcycle in the same group, at this time the operator failed to navigate the sharp curve of the roadway which resulted in him crashing into an embankment on the northside of the roadway, the operator also admitted to traveling 45 MPH on a posted 40 MPH section of road.
